About the Artist

Georges V. Haroutiun

Toronto, Canada

An Armenian, raised in Lebanon, I studied graphic design in Denmark. Fine art remained my personal passion while I pursued a career in Canada – briefly in advertising, then in magazine design. I also taught magazine design at OCAD University, and lectured at many other graphic design schools. Throughout the years, my love of painting remained, and in the late '90s, I began to devote more time to my home studio. Bold colours, rich textures, and simple, personal subjects are my focus.
